Caleb Martin doing his song “OH…BTW”

Here’s just a really quick video – that we pretty much created in about 2 minutes! The audio was done with a simple condenser.

Caleb came by the studio and since I didn’t feel like doing the whole Pro Tools thing – we just recorded the audio on a Q3 – and then I did some slight re-mastering and it came off pretty well…

Caleb just did ONE TAKE per song – so this falls in line with the ONE TAKE series that I’ve been messing about with…And he did a GREAT JOB – just flowed out of him like he’d been doing this his whole life! Great to play with other musicians that have put the time in to really learn their craft!

No warm ups, no rehearsing – no RED LIGHT FEVER – just play!

Fun to be playing music – and NOT having to worry about Engineering, Production value or anything else for that matter, just play!

I’m playing Tambourine with my left foot and a CAJUN – a pretty cool instrument! In fact, I’m going to take it down to one of Caleb’s gigs and play along – as it’s TOO EASY!

Not much audio work on the tracking – and 2 minutes of video – was way too tired to even try to create a collage of images, etc – maybe we’ll shoot it another time with several cameras and different angles – but I need to get a GREEN SCREEN that will fit in my outside offices – no way it’s going to fit in my old office or the studio….

I’m sometimes a producer & a musician…but I like my day job!
