Music Square One
Chris Ethridge
Where do I even begin? I can’t really remember when Chris and I met but it was around the time I moved to Nashville – he would come into town for some session work and stop by my office to see me – when I moved back to Mississippi, I got to spend a lot of time with Chris as he played bass on most of the records that I had produced. A consummate studio musician! And he knew theory better than just about anyone I’ve ever met – he could just hear it – and say no that’s the minor 7th!
Chris was a great bass player – as evidenced by his body of work. But unless you knew him – you would not know that he was one of the most caring and great friends you could have! He was always complimentary of everything and everyone – and was always just great to be around!
There are just way too many place to find his music and work – so I’ll just add a few links here – but I was so sad that he passed away and the funeral was very hard for me – but I know he’s in a better place and playing music in a great band!
He was a great friend to me & so many others – he will be missed!

I originally posted something about Chris on ButterMilk’s site- but I needed to write my own version – as Chris was an amazing person and great friend!
